On April 20, 2018, Kinderland Pakubuwono visited the nearby Taman Kerinci. At the community park, our students, parents and teachers participated in planting fruit trees and decorative flowering plants. It was a pleasant sight to see our students out in nature fully engaged and totally engrossed in the planting process getting their tiny hands dirtied in the soil.
In addition to the planting activity, the students were also involved in a clean-up drive of the park. They identified the different types of garbage and dumped them in different bins.
To summarize the day, the children really enjoyed themselves, learnt about the advantages of having a clean environment, learnt how to sort garbage, and most of all they learnt how they can help protect and beautify the environment by planting trees and ornamental plants.
